Sometimes, hidden beneath those layers of
paint, is a beautiful wooden treasure that can be restored
to its original beauty. On this page, are examples of
pieces that Hugh stripped and recovered. All pieces
are stripped by hand, carefully sanded and then finished.
Call and describe your piece that needs
repair and refinishing and Hugh will make an estimate over
the phone, pending a final estimate once the piece is
brought into his shop. |

Refinishing and restoring the
spinning wheel was a challenging project and
took a while to complete.
The customer was very happy with the refinished family
heirloom. Not only did it have great sentimental
value, but once restored, had more monetary value.
This sewing machine, pictured below,
was made in 1910.
Unfortunately, we did not take a before picture when the
piece was black and missing
all of its drawers. The owner purchased drawers on
Ebay and Hugh refinished and fit the pieces. He
also stripped and repainted the metal frame. It is now
a beautiful heirloom piece.
